The Shepherd Leader
"The Shepherd Leader" by Timothy Witmer is a book that strives to bring the importance of shepherding to the forefront of our thinking about what church leaders should do and, therefore, what they should be. Too many church leaders perceive of themselves as a “board of directors” when the Bible is clear that they are to know, feed, lead, and protect the flock entrusted to their care.

Studying Jesus’ conversations with a diversity of people during his life, this director of the Francis Schaeffer Institute draws lessons and principles for modern evangelistic practice from the four Gospels, offering believers timeless wisdom in their approach to unbelievers.
This volume explains Edwards' strong sense of pastoral responsibility to warn his people of the reality and dangers of judgment and hell. But it also shows his equally vivid and compelling views of heaven and eternal life.
Bottom line: mankind has rejected God and His truth and suffers the consequences of that choice as God hands him over to enslavement by his own worldview with its resulting sins (1:24-32). It is no wonder people are disillusioned with life; sin and false beliefs ultimately have that affect. To this end this book is dedicated. We want to understand the opposition to having and living a biblical worldview, what steps we must take to implement the same in our churches, and then how to evangelize people from a biblical worldview framework.
